Thai's P.M declared a state of emergency in Bangkok at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday (2400GMT, Monday) through TV pool and radio broadcasters nationwide.
U.S embassy in Bangkok issued a warden message to urge citizens traveling to and residing in that country to avoid area of demonstration if possible, to exercise caution if within the vicinity of any demonstrations. British foreign and commonwealth office issued similar advice, and it advised avoiding all but essential travel to the far southern provinces of Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and Songkhla. Canada advised its citizens to avoid the southern provinces. While in Thailand, they should “exercise extreme caution,” it said, adding: “The security situation remains tense and could further deteriorate without warning.”
