Democratic Rights

Seeing another arrest on leaders of bar council regarding "human right day" march,authority has justified the action based on "national security' threat to stifle rights of the citizens again. After several recent mass rallies, i am sure the ruling elite political prisoners have increased several folds since draconian law like ISA, sedition act and police act are used indiscriminately against peaceful assemblies, wondering whether ruling elite has expanded prison facility funding together with the passage of those laws in parliament.

Knowing ASEAN pride itself for being a "Democracy" entity in it own right but refuse to condemn and take forceful measures against it own members namely Thailand n Myanmar after recent coup and political reform movement massacre is mind boggling, ain't ASEAN leadership has any more principle , if not courage to expel the military dictator regime from it association, frequently, what i heard from these leaders are ASEAN does not interfere in the members' internal affairs, such an "eloquent" statement usually is used to safeguard the greater good of Asia economy integration, ASEAN has adopted a policy of see, hear ,and speak no evil of her members states , bravo!!!!!

After witnessing ASEAN in action for the passed few years,realizing i have a fundamental misunderstanding of this political association which the leaders randomly use draconian and oppressive law in their own country n indiscriminately associate with outlaw regime for geographical convenience
is self-evident,"Democracy" has it own definition in the vocabulary of ASEAN.
