Corpse Snatching

Another case of forced conversion on non- Muslim Malaysians, this time it is a corpse. Gan family is fighting a legal battle against the Islamic affair department in Malaysia over the snatching of their love one corpse after officials from the department came over to the home and take away the body by force by claiming the deceased has converted into Islam and should be bury according to Islamic rite rather than Buddhist way.

Apart from force conversion on a living person and preventing one from leaving , like recent Lina Joy case,( a Muslim Malaysian woman decided to leave her faith ,convert to Christianity and marry her man, but was turn down by syariah court and need to go into hiding with death threat looming over her head) and several others, the religious department in Malaysia is resorting to a much easier way in raising the number of Muslims in Malaysia now, the level of ingenuity among those religious officials is plain genius, even the deceased can not avoid being targeted.
