Ahmadenijad 's government tested its medium and long range missiles in the mid of UN security council discussion of its nuclear program to showcase its military capability. The missile has a range of 1250 miles and can carry one ton payload of conventional war head. They are believed able to reach any USA military bases in that region and state of Israel if launch from Iran.

While continue to defy UN call to stop its nuclear program and allow IAEA inspectors unlimited access into the country, Ahmadenijad not only fail to honor his country nuclear non-proliferation treaty but also choose to ignore consequences of its action on Iranians and the region at large .

As a member of UN and signatory to the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, Iran is subjected to full disclosure of it activities on any nuclear program in the country and must comply with IAEA regulations relating to nuclear energy research, agree to provide unrestricted accessibility for monitor team within its territory and provide information requested unconditionally by the agency like the rest of the member country.
