Man With A Golden Heart

Warren Edward Buffett was ranked by Forbes magazine as the richest man in the world during the first half of 2008, with an estimated net worth of $62.0 billion. Considered to be America most successful investor, businessman and notable philanthropist. He is also the largest shareholder and CEO of Bershire Hathaway.

In June 2006, Buffett gave approximately 10 million Berkshire Hathaway's Class B shares to Bill &Melinda Gates Foundation (worth approximately USD 30.7 billion based on market price at that time.) making it the largest charitable donation in history. He pledged to give the foundation 5% of the total donation on an annualised basis each July, beginning in 2006. He also announced plans to contribute additional Berkshire Hathaway stock valued at approximately $6.7 billion to Susan Thompson Buffet Foundation and to other foundations headed by his three children.

His generosity has brought plenty of hopes for the suffering and less fortunate around the world, his selfless contributions to a worthy caused has make our world a better place for many people especially the indigent in impoverished region and countries. It is indeed very rare to see an individual among the wealthiest that make so much fortune in his life time but return it back to the society for the needy, majority of them will rather continue to enrich own family members and build a bigger empire and spend it by living lavishly. Few of these individual among the wealthy are really making a big difference in our world today.
