Vision 2020

For the country to reach the developed nation status on time, the government has implemented many projects gearing toward the nation goal the past decades. It is no doubt that our government has a very noble aspiration of bringing the country on par with the rest of the advance nations through modernization and development amid globalisation. With various projects implementation from the past, one can see that Malaysia has transformed successfully from backwater forest and plantation estates into numerous stainless steel concrete structure of skyscrapers in the background, high impact projects promised by party officials are routine undertaking in every election year.

From an average citizen point of view, one can only reasonably expect the government will not trying to achieve its goal at the expense of the most vulnerable group of citizen namely the indigent, disable, elderly, and low income group. In any rapid development and modernization expenditure by a developing country, the above group of people is usually ignored by the authority and society at large, they are the one most likely to benefit lesser from the huge expense of national wealth, unless a clearly stated government policy is in placed with programs specifically draw to mandate help and fund allocation are available to them.

I strongly believe that while we are going full speed ahead toward that vision, the government is obligated to ensure every citizen is benefited from the set goal and no one especially the above group should be left behind at the mercy of the force of this massive development process.
